·     Worked with Donna Ising, President of the BMAA, MSD and Core of Engineers on installing and completing  eight Detention Basins     for  the purposes of preventing flooding in the Buechel  Area, along Hikes Lane, and in the Bashford Manor Area, 1990-2006 (BMA neighborhoods are no longer considered in the flood plain, and the residents no longer have to pay for flood insurance)

·     Working with Donna Ising, President of the BMAA, MSD on the plantings of trees, shrubs, and flowers  along Beargrass Creek in order to preserve a natural habitat for the wildlife, and to entice other wildlife creatures to take up residents along the creek

·     Helped in the planning stages  of the Humana Health  Complex at Bashford Manor Lane and Newburg Road

·     Assisted Donna Ising, BMAA President in the development of the Thornton’s Gas and Grocery Complex to either side of Bardstown Road,  a 24-hour Walgreen’s, Taco Bell, Wendi’s, and the Kroger’s Super Store

·     Attended  meetings in the planning stages for the development and design of  a 24-hour Wal-Mart Super Store,  and the Lowe’s Super Store in such a way as to  have a streamline look of a long complex to replace the Bashford Manor Mall

·     Attended planning meetings for the development and expansion of the Target Super Center, with additional stores, such as Payless Shoes, Radio Shack, Foot Locker, GNC, Gamestop, Supercuts, Regis Hair Salon, and Asian Buffet

·     Worked in the planning and construction of the Collegiate Sports Center and the Assumption High School Sports Center

·     Worked in the planning of future  developments include Chris Thieneman’s sit-down restaurants  to be located on Champions Trace Lane      

 ·     Worked in getting the neighborhood signatures for the closure of  Strip Club  (Toy Tiger) to clean up the  neighborhood, and build up this business section by creating a Thornton’s Gas and Grocery Complex

·     Worked  with Donna Ising , BMAA President to obtain additional street lights along the BMA neighborhood streets

·     Worked on lowering the speed limit on Bashford Manor Lane after a serious accident

·     Helped get signatures for the Beargrass Creek Duck Crossing signs to protect the wildlife

·     Assisted in getting signatures to eliminate Semis on the BMA neighborhood streets, and by getting signs  posted, which read “NO  Semi-Trucks Allowed”

·     Obtained signatures for the name change of street from Leghorn Drive to Champions Trace Lane to extol the merits of the three Kentucky Derby Winners from the Bashford Manor Area Farms, and to honor the youth who participate in sports activities at the Collegiate Sports Center and the Assumption High School Sports Center along Champions Trace Lane and Newburg Road

·     Typed letters for Donna Ising, BMAA President to numerous city and state officials to obtain the cessation of  the illegal dumping of raw and hazardous materials in and around the South Fork of the Beargrass Creek running through the BMA neighborhoods

·     Talking to TV stations, and to city and state officials , concerning the enormous fish kill in the South Fork of the Beargrass Creek

·     Helped to organize the Community Celebration of the Bashford Manor Farms Day, May 21, 2005, with a Bugler’s Call to Post, the Pledge of Allegiance, the Presentation of Colors by Seneca High School’s ROTC, the singing of “MY Old Kentucky Home,” and talks by the descendents of the owners of the Bashford Manor Farms

·     Facilitated in obtaining a $1000 Grant from Wal-Mart and another $1,000 Grant from Metro Council Tenth District, Councilman Jim King, for a local school’s media / broadcasting program, so that the young can receive the best education possible

·     Facilitated the obtaining a $10,000 grant from Wal-Mart, and a $1,000 grant from Lowe’s for a fantastic, 4’ by 4’ bas-relief sculpture of the  three Kentucky Derby winners from the Bashford Manor Farms, created by renowned artist, Bob Lockhart, and located along Bashford Manor Lane in front of the Wal-Mart

·     Encouraged Lowe’s to place a  3’ by 3’ bas-relief sculpture on the front of its store commemorating the same three Kentucky Derby winners

·     Encouraged the Bashford Manor Kroger’s Super Center to place large black and white, photo  murals  of various historical buildings, and  of the three Kentucky Derby horses to preserve the history of the area

·     Participates in the Citizen Corps, which helps citizens to organize community-based efforts to prevent, to prepare for, and to respond to disasters, or potential attacks by terrorists --- involved in community emergency respond team, neighborhood watch program, and volunteers in police service
